Comfortable furnishings and lots of decorative touches show how much the owners enjoy the coast and their beautiful beach house. Large sliding glass doors open from the living room out to the pool-side bar and covered patio, and let in the Gulf breezes. There are also two ceiling fans. The dining room table seats 6 and another 6 can sit at the breakfast bar. The kitchen comes equipped with a gas range and oven, a refrigerator, a microwave and coffee maker.* There is another ceiling fan here, plus a TV, and off to the side, a pantry. Just off the entrance hall is the downstairs bathroom which also has an exterior door for direct access from the beach or the pool.
In this home, even the stairway has its decor, including a stained glass window. Bedrooms: Upstairs, the bedroom on the south has two individual beds. There´s A/C (ceiling fan, closet) a TV, and a small balcony. Down the hall, there´s a bathroom and another bedroom that has bunk beds (ceiling fan, closet), A/C, a TV, and access to the northern balcony. The master bedroom has a king size bed, TV with Sky (satellite), A/C (ceiling fan, closet), and ensuite bathroom. This bedroom also has a wall of windows and large sliding glass doors that offer great views of the Gulf and access to the balcony where you can look down to the pool area.
If the pool on the north is considered the front of this home, then the service room, with an additional bathroom, is toward the rear. There´s also a batea which is the traditional long sink used for washing clothes (great for rinsing out swimsuits). The carport has a Spanish tile roof, and outdoor furniture so it can also be used for relaxing or entertaining outside. The lot is large, with ample off-street parking, and, to one side, a long, covered built-in counter with sink for cleaning fish. The on-site caretaker lives to the rear of this area.
Located just east of Chicxulub Puerto, about 7 minutes east of Progreso. Lots of parking available, or if you´re on foot, you can walk into Chicxulub for collective cabs or shopping.
