How did we start?

Yucatan Vacation Home Rentals and Property Management is a company we formed after renting and caretaking a very few properties, here along the Gulf coast for the last 16+ years.  It seemed like we always had more people interested in renting than we had properties for rent.  Now, we have contacts for a variety of properties, and offer a much broader range of styles, prices and locations.  We're excited to expand our YVHR Property Management services for the increasing number of expats who are moving long-term or permanently to our neck of the woods.  (See our Property Management page, or read more below the photo.)


Then, about us:


Lynn comes from a background of property management, both commercial and residential, in Minnesota, Colorado, Quintana Roo and Yucatán.  She has lived in Chicxulub Puerto for 20+ years, and is proud to hold both U.S. and Mexican citizenship.


Eunice is our junior associate, and joins us with a degree in business administration.  She offers youthful knowledge of technologies and communications, and has been a great addition to the team.  She and Gabriela are both natives of Progreso.


Gabriela, a retired teacher, has a degree in accounting and a masters degree in psychology.  She has directed, or assisted in the maintenance of a number of properties, as well as helping with our renters.  Her knowledge of reliable workers, the people, and the area is invaluable.

   For home owners,

   If you really want to relax, we offer Property Management, either full service or tailored to your needs.  We specialize in the Gulf coast of Mexico, from Progreso to Chicxulub Puerto to Uaymitun. Our goal is to allow you to enjoy home ownership, whether you are a full-time or a part-time resident.

   If you're interested in renting your property, whether you´re looking for long-term vacation rentals (until you can retire and move down here yourself), or just looking for someone to rent for the months that you're not here, we can help potential renters find your home.  We take care of collecting, and accounting for, rent and deposits.  We also stay in contact with our renters, so any problems are dealt with promptly, per your instructions.

   For renters, 

   If your budget is the deciding factor, we offer a range of rates, and we'll always ask for a bargain, if you want (although the rates are always set by the owner). 

   For that dream vacation, we can offer you deluxe oceanfront vacation homes with a pool,or if you want something a bit more modest we have beautiful beach houses, or an oceanview condo with all of the amenities of home. 
   Once you're here, we don't just drop off the keys and wish you good luck, we stay in touch and we are always available, in case you need us.
