Lots of windows means this home has plenty of sunlight if you open the wooden shutters, or adjust them to the level of light that you prefer. The large covered porch at the front opens to the sala, or living room, and just to the rear of that is the dining room, with seating for 6. To the side is the staircase to the second floor.
The large kitchen, beyond the dining area, has enough counter space to put out a spread, and two stools where you can sit for a cup of coffee or a quick meal. The kitchen is equipped with a full-size refrigerator, gas range with oven, toaster oven and coffee maker.* To one side is the guest bathroom.
Bedrooms: Looking back toward the kitchen, the door that opens off of the dining room takes you to another bathroom and the two main floor bedrooms. On the Gulf side (north), the first bedroom has a twin size bed and A/C (ceiling fan, wooden closets). The other bedroom, on the south, also has the single bed (ceiling fan, wooden closets). The master bedroom is upstairs and has a king size bed with bedside tables, A/C (ceiling fan, closet) and en suite. From this bedroom, you have access to the balcony, where you can sling your hammock and enjoy the quiet neighborhood.
Located in a popular area that is almost half way between Progreso (approx. 3 km) and Chicxulub Puerto (approx. 2 km), convenient to shopping and restaurants. The buses and collective cabs run on the main streets, a 2 or 3 block walk. Or if you have a car, there´s covered parking, in the rear, for two cars, and ample parking area for more.
For those who must have a pool, the owner will supply an above-ground portable pool.
