Coming in from the oceanfront pool, this 2 bedroom home has the typical beach house design, with the dining area and the sitting area sharing the large front room. The kitchen is just to the rear, and has a stove with oven, refrigerator, microwave oven and blender.* Past the sitting area, with its chairs and large sofa, is the downstairs bathroom which has a step down to the shower, and also has a side access door so you can come in directly from the beach or the pool.
Bedrooms: Up the open stairway, the second floor has two bedrooms, both with A/C and ensuite bathroom (closets, ceiling fans) and each with access to the balcony which overlooks the pool and the beach. One bedroom has a twin bed and the other has a double.
Back on the first floor and out to the rear courtyard, just behind the kitchen, is an area for doing your hand wash and/or hanging clothes and towels to dry. There´s also a small workers´ room.
And tucked in the corner of the courtyard, with its own red tile roof, is a separate apartment. You enter into a nice size kitchen which has a stove top (no oven), an apartment size refrigerator, a toaster oven, and a table for four. Beyond the kitchen is a large bedroom with A/C, a king size bed and plenty of room for sitting, or swinging in hammocks. This apartment has its own bathroom.
From this rear courtyard, an arched passage takes you directly to the front of the property. There´s a storage area along this passage as well as the door to the 1st floor bathroom, but at the end of the passage, you arrive at poolside. Here you can opt for relaxing in the shade of the porch, or going out to the deck for some sun and some great views of the Gulf.
Located about 15 minutes from downtown Progreso, you´re only about half that distance from downtown Chicxulub Puerto. A car is handy, and there´s plenty of off-street parking, but if you´re on foot, it´s a few blocks´ walk out to the main road where you can catch a collective cab.
