(Uaymitun Oceanfront)
The beauty of being in the tropics is being outside, and this beach house offers not only the oceanfront swimming pool and covered veranda, but a grassy side yard with a wooden gazebo. To top it off (so to speak), the third floor rooftop has views in all directions.
Inside, the rooms are light and airy, with screens on all windows and sliding doors. The furnishings are comfortable, there´s seating for 6 at the dining room table as well as 3 stools at the pass-through bar in the kitchen, and the owners have left lots of decorative items to help you feel at home. The kitchen is well-stocked (gas range with oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, blender and coffee maker)* with a pantry to one side.
In the entrance hall, behind the kitchen, is a large closet for storage. Across the hall is the guest bathroom with a second door opening to the outside for direct access from the pool and beach.
Bedrooms: just next to this bathroom is the downstairs bedroom with two double beds (ceiling fan) and a walk-in closet. Upstairs, the other two bedrooms and a linen closet are on the second floor. On the south side, the bedroom has two double beds (ceiling fan), A/C, a walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom. The master bedroom, on the north, has a king-size bed (ceiling fan), A/C, a walk-in closet, ensuite bathroom (with bidet), and, of course, the balcony overlooking the Gulf.
Location: in Uaymitun, one of the most popular areas for snowbirds as well as the local vacationers. About 15 minutes from Progreso, the collective cabs go by on the main road if you don´t have a car, but there´s ample parking if you do have one.
FYI - there is also an on-site caretaker.
